	The NJOY is a simulated cigarette which should cut the risk of cancer and even let you smoke on a plane.</p>

	I can smoke this anywhere. On an airplane, at the CES show, and in gub&#39;mint buildings.</p>
<p>
	In theory, that is. In a world where airplane attendants don&#39;t know what your phone&#39;s flight mode is, don&#39;t expect to be able to puff away without some hassles. In fact, good luck getting a small container of liquid and a heating device onto the plane in the first place.</p>
<p>
	The faux-fag works thusly: Into the battery powered tube, insert the cartridge of your choice. This cartridge contains nicotine and propylene glycol along with a tobacco flavoring which, when heated, is turned into an inhale-able vapor.</p>
<p>
	The NJOY comes in four strengths, zero (no nicotine) through strong (Marlboro) and can be flavored with menthol, apple or strawberry. And it works out cheaper than the real thing, once you get started. A kit is $110, a replacement (rechargeable) battery $15 and the cartridges $25 for five. Each one is apparently the equivalent of two packs of cigarettes.</p>
<p>
	I&#39;m game. I have sent a request for a test unit. These could be a great way to kick the weed, too. Nicotine patches quell the temper, but do nothing for the oral fixation that is a ciggy.<br />
